SCREW CONVEYOR
The belt is manufactured from reinforced rubber, PVC, or PU material, selected based on the
type of material being conveyed (e.g., sludge, screenings, grit). For sludge applications, a cleated
or sidewall belt may be used to prevent slipping or material loss on inclines.
Carrying rollers are positioned along the belt path to support the material load, while return
rollers support the belt on the return side. Rollers are typically mounted with sealed bearings
and designed to reduce noise and friction.
Tensioning and Tracking System
A belt tensioning system, typically using adjustable take-up screws or counterweights, ensures
proper belt tension and alignment. Belt tracking rollers or sensors may be integrated to prevent
misalignment during operation.
Drive unit
The drive unit includes an electric motor with IP 55 or IP 65 protection, coupled to a gear
reducer that adjusts the motor output to a suitable belt speed. The motor is directly connected
to a drive pulley, which transmits motion to the belt. Explosion-proof versions are available for
hazardous areas.
Legs and Supports
Stainless steel or galvanized steel support legs are provided to elevate the conveyor to the
required height and maintain structural integrity. Each leg is bolted to the floor using anchor
bolts, and adjustable feet may be included for leveling on uneven surfaces.
